HUME  EXPORTS  CONCRETE
TUNNEL  LINING  SEGMENTS

The Singapore government has invested in the Deep Tunnel Sewerage System (DTSS) with the aim to upgrade and ultimately replace its existing
sewerage system in the Republic within the next ten years. The first phase of the network, comprises of 48 km of tunnel and a treatment plant at Changi.
The second phase, comprises of another 30 km of tunnel and a second treatment plant at Tuas. The tunnel will start at a depth of about 20 m at Kranji and will
go deeper gradually, until it terminates 50 m underground at Changi.

Hume had recently signed a RM 15 million supply agreement with Samsung Corporation (Engineering & Construction Group), the main contractor for
the fourth section of the tunnel , to manufacture and supply high precision concrete tunnel lining segments for the 7.3 km tunnel construction. The supply
of concrete tunnel lining segments for the construction of the first section of the tunnel by Woh Hup--Shanghai Tunnel Engineering JV, the main contractor for this particular section.

Hume is honoured to be involved in this prestigious project.

Corporation (Engineering & Construction Group), the main contractor for the fourth section of the tunnel. The RM15 million contract appoints Hume
to manufacture and supply high precision concrete tunnel lining segments to line and reinforce the structure which stretches over 7.3 km. Hume is also
supplying segments for the first section of the DTSS which has been contracted  to a separate construction company.
